About Triple J
Jaggi Jaggi & Jaggi International Attorneys-at-Law (Triple J) is a distinguished legal practice with a legacy dating back to 1923. The Firm, presently headed by Mr. Navin Kumar Jaggi, practices before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, Tribunals and other judicial and quasi-judicial bodies. Its areas of practice include commercial and corporate law, intellectual property, taxation, insurance, finance, business immigration, litigation, ADR, family, criminal and property matters.
About the Competition
The 1st Basant Kumar Jaggi Memorial National Online Mediation Competition 2026, organised by AILSF, provides law students with practical exposure to mediation and dispute resolution.
The competition places participants in three roles — Mediator, Counsel and Client — enabling them to develop skills in negotiation, communication, active listening, problem-solving, strategic thinking and client counselling.
The competition is organised in honour and remembrance of Late Mr. Basant Kumar Jaggi, commemorating his contribution to the legal profession and the values of professionalism, integrity and excellence.
Competition Format: Preliminary Round → Quarter Finals → Semi Finals → Grand Final.

Registration Details
The competition is open to bona fide undergraduate law students pursuing a 5-year integrated law programme or 3-year LL.B. programme recognised by the Bar Council of India or the competent statutory authority.
Each team consists of 3 participants:
- 1 Mediator
- 1 Counsel
- 1 Client
Teams may be cross-institutional, with a maximum of 3 teams from the same institution. The official language of the competition is English.
Complimentary Mediation Training
Every registered participant receives access to a Complimentary Mediation Training Programme, conducted approximately one week before the competition, with role-based preparation for Mediators, Counsels and Clients.
Registration Fees
Early Bird: ₹700 per team
Applicable for the first 15 teams only.
Regular: ₹1,000 per team.
Cash Prizes
Total Cash Prizes: ₹25,000
- 🏆 Winning Negotiating Pair – ₹7,000
- 🥈 Runner-Up Negotiating Pair – ₹5,000
- ⚖️ Winning Mediator – ₹3,000
- 🌟 Best Client – ₹3,000
- 🎓 Best Counsel – ₹3,000
Participation certificates will be provided to all participants, along with merit certificates for winners and runners-up.
